The Game Census

About

The Game Census records the vital signs of the entire Steam catalog — 177,000+ games — continuously. Player counts, review momentum, cross-store prices, Twitch viewership and ownership estimates are snapshotted around the clock and turned into simple, evidence-backed health checks for every game with enough data to judge.

Why bother? Because most of these numbers are only published as current values. Once a day passes, the history is gone — nobody can tell you what a game's player count looked like the week a controversial update landed, unless someone was recording. The census records.

Every verdict shows its working, every estimate is a labeled range with a documented method, and games without enough data get no page rather than a padded one.
