Most completed games
Ranked by the highest median global achievement-completion rate across each game's achievement list (10+ achievements, 500+ reviews) — the median share of players, across Steam's global stats, who earned each achievement. A high median means most owners who earned at least one achievement stuck around to earn most of the rest. It is not a quality judgement, and it says nothing about players who never touch achievements at all.
9,224 games in the census have 10 or more tracked achievements and 500 or more Steam reviews; the table lists the 100 with the highest median completion rate. 100 hidden frogs is the most-completed game: its median achievement was earned by 100% of players, and its easiest achievement by 100%, across 7.1k Steam reviews. Behind it come Achievement Clicker 2018 (99%) and Travellin Cats in Paris (98%). The tenth-ranked game, Running Through Russia, sits at 97%. Across the 100 listed games, the median of the per-game median earn-rate is 88%, falling to 81% for Diggin at rank 100. The median "ever started" figure (the highest single-achievement earn-rate per game) is 97%. The gap between the first and last rows on median earn-rate is 19 percentage points. 87 of the 100 games have an easiest achievement earned by 90% or more of players. 100 of the 100 listed games have a median earn-rate of 50% or higher, and 100 reach 75% or higher. The lowest "ever started" figure on the list is 100 New Year Cats's: even its easiest achievement was earned by 83% of players. The median listed game has 1.3k Steam reviews, and the 100 together have 347k.
"Median achievement earned by" is the median global earn-rate across the game's tracked achievements (Steam). "Ever started" is the highest earn-rate on record — typically the easiest achievement — as a proxy for how many owners launched the game at all.
How to read this: for every game, Steam publishes the global share of players who have earned each achievement. The census takes the median of that list as the game's completion rate, so one trivially easy or impossibly hard achievement doesn't move it much, and ranks the games from the highest median down. The rates are rounded to whole percentages, the achievement lists the census stores are capped at the top 60 by earn-rate, and games with fewer than 10 achievements or fewer than 500 reviews are left out, so a short list or a tiny audience can't top the table. A high number describes how the people who engage with achievements behave, not how many people finish the game. The figures above are recomputed from the census database every half hour. See the methodology page for the full definitions and how often the underlying data refreshes.
