It is the eighteenth entry in the F1 series and holds the license for the 2025 Formula One and Formula 2 championships. The game was released on 30 May 2025 for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S. The 2026 season was released as post-launch downloadable content that was released on 3 June 2026. It received generally positive reviews from critics, who regarded it as an improvement over its predecessor.
